Once in a while, we step out of our comfort zone and dare to try something new. And that I did. I applied for a Fashion Correspondent Internship Contest for Philippine Fashion Week with this as my photo submission! :)
Voting has been cut short to today…and I would appreciate for you guys to help me out. Just a ‘Like’ will mean so much too me! Chances are quite slim but I made it as one of the finalists and just the opportunity itself makes me grateful. <3

Ugh, my heart is broken. I saw a pair today that looks almost exactly like these Giuseppe Lorenzi coffe pumps for a tiny fraction of the price!
It looks so incredibly painful to walk in, but then again it’s painfully beautiful as well. Crossing my fingers it’ll still be there by the time I’ve saved enough money! For now, this goes on my wishlist. <3

I walk weird in sneakers.
Yep, that was my “life realization” that day. Haha! I wouldn’t usually be caught in them on a casual day, but since I was going rappeling that afternoon I didn’t wanna lug around another pair of shoes. Anyway, here’s my flimsy attempt at documenting some of the stuff I put together :)
Oversized polkadot top, Kashieca | red pants, Bench | Chain bracelet, Juicy Couture | I have a dream ring, Fayeness Shop | Sneakers, Polo Ralph Lauren

What Doesn’t Kill You, Makes You Stronger.
…quite literally with this one. If you don’t fall and break your bones, you gain a little more strength in more than just your muscles. Strength of heart develops too.
This is actually under the Military Science program of my school so I’ve been trying it out for about a year now. Since the semester’s about to end though my friends and I decided to take some photos for remembrance!

People try out all sorts of things to get that brief sense of invincibility. I found that kind of thrill in rappelling :)
The photo above is my fat butt doing rope transfers (which is basically moving to a different rope/lane in mid air) and below is one of my favorites, the Aussie rappell (walking/running face down).

Metaphorically speaking, in rappeling, like a lot of times in life, the hardest part is letting go. It’s that moment you decide to step off the top platform fighting the scary thought that the only thing standing between success and leaving in a stretcher is a frail looking rope. It’s a liberating feeling though once you get going, and for competitive people like me, there’s nothing like making great time and proving people who think I’m too artsy for my life wrong. Haha! :))(Source: kareneveryday)

Dedicating my only post for the day to my little one (who’s growing to be not so little anymore, since he’s getting fatter by the day).
Meet my pretend-panda, Bentley <3!
My boyfriend bought him for us just last January. I always told him I wanted a panda for a pet but since that’s not exactly plausible he got this miniature version instead. :)
